I spend my time making sure the work flow for the various projects is on target. This means that I interact with the accounting offices on campus to monitor our expenditures, arm wrestle with vendors to make sure our purchases arrive (eventually), make sure everyone is being paid, edit reports for publication, maintain these web pages, hang out in the library doing research, and perform other assorted, non-technical tasks.

My job has morphed over the years so that I now support other EE faculty and a variety of EE projects, but I still consider ITS my home base. Probably because I retain some semblance of being in control of my environment there as clearly that is not the case at home. Clarence gets both the chair and my shoulder while I get the ottoman; he definitely likes it that way. At least it keeps him out of my knitting....
